Yamini Redewill was born in 1939 and raised in California where she graduated with a degree in Art from UCLA. She pursued an acting and singing career but ended up as a uniform designer which magically morphed into being head of wardrobe at CBS before running off to an ashram in India to be with her spiritual Master, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (aka Osho) She then returned and became a prominent portrait photographer in Laguna, which spawned her self- published book “The Natural Goddess – Portraits of True Beauty of Women Over 40” and three Festival of Goddesses in Laguna Beach.

Four chapters of this book became another best-selling novel on Amazon called “A Wild Ride to Self-Love with Osho” in conjunction with the Netflix hit series “Wild Wild Country”. Her book The Joy of Uber Driving, was a finalist for Spiritual Inspiration by International Book Awards (IBA) in 2019.

I'm Yamini. Welcome to my blog from the rear view mirror of an Uber driver, that's me. This year, I turned 80 years of age [sic 2019], and I happily driving for Uber since December 2015 in my beautiful red Toyota Prius [now I have a blue one]. Well, I've encountered some amazing people in the Bay Area who've ridden in my car, and they've given me stories that I use in my book, along with my own stories in my memoir called The Joy of Uber Driving - A Wild Ride to Self Love. This book was released by She Writes Press June 25 2019 and is available on Amazon.
I've been writing this book since 2016 in the midst of a presidential campaign, and I'm afraid that my acerbic observations pop up occasionally in the book, but my Uber stories offer a welcome relief during this time of maniacal duress. I don't know what else to call it, so I will be sharing some stories from my book, as well as new stories that come along after the book was written, and who may qualify for a new book if there is one.
Another aspect of my blog will be the inclusion of #meToo stories, interviews and observations, which interests me because of my own past, #meToo experiences while in Hollywood. These experiences consequently led me to my spiritual path of Self Love, and has given me the opinion that there are no accidents, there are no mistakes. Everything is perfect, no matter how crazy, painful and awful it is, it's all part of the process. So I welcome you to come and visit me again on my blog. The next one will be an Uber story, and who knows, maybe it'll be you or someone you know, or someone you'd like to know. I'll see you then. Thank you. Bye.
